I’ve long avoided being attached to material things, but on a sunny drive today, I thought about how one possession seems to represent what’s inside me.
When I wrote “Man Overboard!” I had originally titled my natural divisions in the story as chapters. But after a few edits, and I decided that they aren’t really chapters. They are more like scenes that play out. And that is pretty close to how I think.
